Call For Internship | Sibikwa Arts Centre

Sibikwa Arts Centre is looking for 4 interns to join their organization as part of FirstRand First Job programme.

1. Marketing Intern to assist with developing, implementing and monitoring media, marketing and publicity strategies and plans to promote Sibikwa’s programmes and projects. Marketing, Media, PR or similar qualification required.

2. Projects/Events Intern to help plan, implement and manage the multiple education, training and performance projects that Sibikwa produces. Project Administration, Event Management, Technical/Stage Management or equivalent.

3. Arts Business Intern to support all operational functions and administrative processes related to compliance, fundraising, partnership building and collaborative research and advocacy projects. Public and Development Management, Arts and Culture Management, Social Entrepreneurship or comparable qualifications.

4. Artistic Strategy Intern to work closely with the Artistic Director responsible for conceiving, developing and implementing the artistic and educational vision and focus of Sibikwa. A Strong theatre/events background, with Performing Arts/Directing, Strategic Planning, Communication or Management, or similar qualification required.

This is a 12 month, full time internship, starting 1 July 2021. The 4 successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R3765.

Cadidates must be South African citizens from any ethnic group or gender identification, between the ages of 18 and 35 years. To be considered for an internship position, candidates must have a minimum Qualification of matric, and cannot have been employed in a full time position before. Applicants must have an eagerness to lean and proeficient computer (Word, Excel etc), writing, communication and time management skills. Candidates with experiences in and a passion for the arts, those based in EKurhuleni, are strongly encouraged to apply.
