‘NEXT!!!’ Auditions are not for the faint-hearted. A cabaret, NEXT!! stars Kay Mosiane as Rwelebogitata , a young black girl who dreams of stardom. She wants it so much…but is this the right song to impress? In this roller coaster ride of heartache and hope, Relebogitata bounces from one audition to the next, singing song from well-known Broadway shows. She will do ANYTHING to avoid the dreaded “Next!!!”. This powerful cabaret is a collaboration between Amanda Bothma (director/writer), Jacques Du Plessis (musical director/pianist ) and Kay Mosiane (performer) to bring awareness to the obstacles faced by black female performers in South Africa today. Next! takes you on a young performer’s journey from waitress to chorus girl. Will, she ever get her big break and what will she have to endure on the way. Next! will dazzle you, catch you unawares and make you think.
