The workshop streamed focuses on South African heritage music styles such as Marabi, African Jazz, Kwela, Mbaqanga, Maskanda, as well as the basics of the music business.
Billy Monama is a guitarist, composer, and bandleader. His musical journey comprises of performances at a number of important events including; Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival, Collaborative performance with US saxophonist Dave Koz, Collaboration with Denise Jannah – Singer, Actor & Educator (Netherlands), Promusica Theatre’s Summer Jazz & Blues Weekend, Cape Town International Jazz Festival and many more.
