This past Thursday saw Mac G’s Podcast & Chill finally upload Zola 7’s episode on their Youtube Channel after successful premieres at Sterkinekor on April 29 at theatres across 3 cities in South Africa namely; Durban, Cape Town & Johannesburg. The build up started weeks back with Mac G announcing that the exclusive would not be going through the normal broadcast routine on their Youtube channel but rather through Sterkinekor cinemas first. It’s no suprise that the tickets for all three cinemas sold out, considering the shows’ loyal following over the years making it the number 1 podcast in the country.
The episode later aired on Youtube on May 6th and has already been viewed 154K times in 3 days. The numbers have indicated the country’s love for both Zola 7 and the podcast. We decided to remind the country of the icon’s musical greatness and classics he has given us by compiling a playlist of our favorite hits from him since his inception in the music scene.
